Vipassana meditation for entrepreneurs

The Beginners Guide To Meditation For Entrepreneurs

February 13, 202425 min read

I've started meditating for 2 hours a day again.

Why?

Because, when I started meditating in 2013, during a 10 day, SILENT meditation retreat, that was so impactful I changed my name (more on this later)...

the instructor told us to go home and practice for 2 hours a day.

I did NOT do that. Instead I 'dabbled' with different meditation times and techniques.

Now, a few thousand hours of meditation under my belt, having tried many different techniques and times (10 mins, 20 mins, 40 mins, and 1 hour+), I've found nothing beats the experience of life when meditating 2 hours a day.

It's like being Neo in the matrix.

Imagine...

Having ZERO stress (seriously, none)

An experience of time slowed down (like how Neo dodges bullets)

A feeling of joy bubbling up through your chest

A sense of peace no matter what's going on in your life.

A feeling of control over ones actions

A melting of tightness and tension in your body because your mind is relaxed.

A heightened sense of awareness

An upgraded ability to focus on your most important tasks

A higher level perspective of your life and actions

A stronger ability to connect with others

Being a better parent

Being a better lover.

Once you have these meditation benefits, they're hard to give up.

But you don't need to do 2 hours a day to get these benefits.

You can start with just 3 minutes a day.

What is meditation?

At its core, meditation is the art of mastering your mind.

It’s a practice—a discipline—that trains your attention and awareness to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.

It’s like how a gym workout strengthens your body; meditation strengthens your control over YOURSELF. Control over your mind and emotional state.

The goal of meditation is to bring your mind to a state of focused relaxation, to the present moment – the here and now – freeing it from the distractions of the past or concerns about the future.

Meditation peels back the layers of your past conditioning, upsets, expectations, emotional wounds, disapointments and self-judgements, paired with the removal of fear of the future, to reveal awareness of the present moment.

When you're free of your own past biases (aversion to what's happening and craving something different), you have the ability to CHOOSE how to respond to whatever is happening in the present moment.

[In more advanced states of awareness, you'll find life flow through you without having to make a conscious choice. Very much like when you're in flow playing sports, at work or in some creative pursuit, you don't have to think about what to do next, you just do it to the best of your ability.]

The unfortunate truth is, most of the time you don't have the luxury of choice. Your past conditioning makes the call on how you'll react, causing you to suffer the same problems over and over again.

Kind of like the dogs in the learned helplessness experiments. Your past conditioning keeps you from seeing new opportunities to improve your situation.

If you suffer from a lot of mind chatter, (meaning you mind won't shut up), with regular meditation you'll notice less and less mental activity, and more time spent in peaceful FLOW.

For us entrepreneurs, it’s one of the key Entrepreneur Performance Habits that allow you to not only have a great thriving business, but also have the relationships, health and impact to go with it.

Meditation. The Ultimate Productivity Hack?

While it might seem counterintuitive to take time out of your day to sit and seemingly do nothing, this practice could be the key to unlocking levels of focus and creativity you didn’t know you had.

It's about sharpening your greatest asset – your mind – to cut through life's challenges like a hot knife through butter.

Imagine being able to reduce stress, enhance your concentration, and improve your decision-making skills with just a few minutes of meditation each day.

You’ll not only transform your mind but also your approach to business and life.

Meditation is practical, accessible, and most of all, it's a game-changer for anyone serious about achieving peak performance.

As entrepreneurs, we strive for optimization in all we do – and that includes tuning the instrument that is our mind.

Like I always say, as an entrepreneur you are a DECISION-MAKING ATHLETE.

Meditation infinitely aids in your ability to make better decisions.

As an entrepreneur, you get exponential leverage, thus productivity, from your own outputs through enhanced decision-making, not by 'doing more work'.

The Science Behind Meditation

My introduction to the science behind meditation started while studying for a Master's Degree in Positive Organizational Psychology. It was the research in this field that inspired me to do a deep dive into meditation starting with that first 10 day, silent meditation retreat in the summer of 2013.

Meditation, often viewed through a spiritual lens, is also a subject of intense scientific scrutiny. Let's peel back the layers and examine the neurological and physiological effects of meditation, as well as the compelling data that links it to enhanced performance.

Neurologically, meditation is like strength training for your brain.

Research using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) shows that meditation strengthens your prefrontal cortex (it literally gets larger, like a muscle), the area of your brain responsible for 'Executive Function'.

The phrase “executive function” refers to a set of skills.

These skills underlie the capacity to plan ahead and meet goals, display self-control, use good judgement, follow multiple-step directions even when interrupted, and stay focused despite distractions, among others.

If you have poor executive function you'll have the reverse of the skills, making it damn near impossible to grow your business successfully.

Meditation also increases the density of the hippocampus, a region critical for learning and memory.

Furthermore, studies indicate meditation reduces activity in the amygdala, your brain's fight or flight center, which is involved in anxiety and stress responses.

On a physiological level, the benefits are equally impressive.

Meditation activates the parasympathetic nervous system—think of it as hitting the brakes on your body's stress response.

This activation leads to a decrease in heart rate and blood pressure, which over time can contribute to a lower risk of heart disease.

Cortisol, the notorious stress hormone, is also lower in individuals who practice regular meditation, suggesting a more resilient stress response system.

The effects extend to your DNA. Telomeres, the protective caps at the ends of chromosomes, are maintained longer in meditators, which has been associated with reduced cellular aging.

These are the reasons why when you meditate consistently you experience less worry and stress.

This is pivotal for you as an entrepreneur, whose 'hustle' lifestyle can often lead to accelerated biological aging due to high stress and irregular schedules.

But how does this translate to entrepreneur performance?

A study published in the journal 'Psychological Science' found that meditators have improved attention and concentration, even in high-stress situations (ever ran a business anyone?).

Another study from the 'Journal of Management' showed that mindfulness meditation could reduce emotional exhaustion and improve job satisfaction.

The Harvard Business Review has reported that meditation can foster leadership skills like resilience, the capacity for collaboration, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

In essence, meditation isn't just a soothing balm for the mind; it's a performance enhancer with evidence-backed benefits.

By integrating meditation into your daily routine, you're not just investing in your mental health; you're setting the foundation for sustained peak performance, innovative thinking, and a competitive edge that can propel you to the forefront of your industry.

So, whether you're a seasoned meditator or a curious skeptic, the science is clear:

Meditation holds the key to unlocking a treasure trove of cognitive and physiological benefits that can turbocharge your entrepreneurial journey.

Meditation & Elite Entrepreneurship

Tim Ferris has shared that over 80% of his high achieving podcast guests have some sort of 'mindfulness' practice.

Billionaire Salesforce CEO, Marc Benioff, attributes meditation to much of his extraordinary success.

He started meditating in 1992 and has been meditating for 30-60 minutes each morning since (according to GQ).

Marc is such a believer in the powerful stress reducing and clarity producing effects of meditation that he installed meditation rooms on each floor (it has 61 floors) of Salesforce's San Francisco Headquarters.

He's not alone in his thinking; the iconic Steve Jobs was also known for his deep contemplation and Zen meditation practice, which he said was directly responsible for his heightened creativity and laser-focused intuition.

Jobs' practice of Zen meditation informed his minimalist philosophy at Apple, a principle that is now a hallmark of the brand's design aesthetic.

Then there's Ray Dalio, the billionaire founder of Bridgewater Associates, who credits meditation as "the single most important reason" for whatever success he's had.

Dalio's practice of Transcendental Meditation has been a cornerstone of his routine for over 50 years, aiding decision-making clarity and equanimity in the face of the financial market's tempests.

It's not just tech giants and financial moguls who harness the power of meditation.

Media powerhouse Oprah Winfrey practices meditation twice daily, affirming that it leaves her "feeling invigorated and gives me a sense of power and well-being."

Her dedication to meditation extends to her staff, with group meditations being a component of the corporate culture.

But what is it about meditation that so profoundly impacts these elite entrepreneurs?

It's the cultivation of a mind that can see beyond the chaos.

Meditation gives you a heightened awareness, a detachment that enables you to observe thoughts and emotions without getting ensnared.

This clarity is crucial when making decisions that might determine the fate of companies, investments, or new ventures.

Moreover, meditation has been linked with increased emotional intelligence—a trait indispensable for effective leadership. It allows for greater empathy and understanding in team interactions, leading to stronger and more cohesive working relationships.

In the high-stakes game of entrepreneurship, where stress is the norm and burnout is accepted as par for the course, meditation offers a new way.

The anecdotes of these top-tier entrepreneurs aren't just stories; they're testaments to meditation's transformative power in the most demanding of environments.

Embracing meditation doesn't just enhance your personal well-being; it can elevate the very essence of your business acumen.

Meditation has become an open secret—one that can unlock your full potential if you're willing to dedicate time to its practice.

How Twitter's Co-Founder & I Are Meditation Buddies

Among the modern titans of technology who openly credit meditation for their success, Jack Dorsey and I have something in common.

As the co-founder of Twitter and the CEO of Square, Dorsey operates at the intersection of innovation and incessant demand—yet he maintains a surprising commitment to an ancient form of meditation that I also practice: Vipassana.

Vipassana, which means 'to see things as they really are', is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation.

Legend has it that this is the technique the Buddha used to become enlightened and taught to his followers.

It's a method of mental purification through self-observation.

Dorsey's embrace of this practice is particularly revealing; it signifies a deep investment in self-awareness and the cultivation of a clear and focused mind.

Dorsey has spoken publicly about his annual 10-day Vipassana silent retreats, which he describes as a practice for "hacking the inner self" and "learning how to make peace" with oneself.

He has noted that this intense form of meditation, which involves 12-hour days of focused meditation with no reading, writing, or even eye contact, serves as a tool to reset and provides him with a profound sense of balance.

But it's not just about personal equilibrium.

Dorsey's practice of Vipassana meditation has profound implications for his business decisions and leadership style.

The silence and discipline of the practice are believed to translate into the ability to lead with calmness, clarity, and decisiveness.

In a world where the speed of communication and information can be overwhelming, Dorsey's commitment to Vipassana offers him a way to cut through the noise and focus on the core of what's important.

This deep level of introspection allows Dorsey to navigate the ever-shifting landscapes of social media and financial services with a kind of stoic agility.

Followers and admirers often point to his ability to remain composed under fire and to make thoughtful decisions without succumbing to reactive impulses—a skill that is arguably cultivated through his meditation practice.

Moreover, Vipassana's emphasis on self-discipline aligns closely with the kind of discipline required to steer a company. It's a mental muscle that, once developed, can provide the strength to uphold company values, make tough calls, and stay true to a long-term vision in the face of short-term challenges.

Common Misconceptions About Meditation

As you explore the realms of self-improvement and peak performance, you're bound to encounter meditation.

It's often touted as a panacea for all of life's ills. Yet, despite its growing popularity, there are several misconceptions that may have led you to overlook this powerful tool.

Let's dispel these myths and reveal the true nature of meditation, making it accessible and practical for your busy lifestyle.

Myth 1: Meditation Takes Up Too Much Time

You're thinking, "Two hours? That's a luxury I can't afford!" I hear you.

As entrepreneurs, our most precious commodity is time. Every minute is a race against the clock, where opportunity costs are measured in money.

You're hardwired to optimize, to squeeze productivity out of every second. So the idea of sitting quietly, seemingly doing nothing for two hours, may sound like corporate blasphemy.

But what if I told you that this investment has the potential to yield returns beyond any traditional venture you've encountered?

Consider this: we regularly tune-up our high-performance vehicles to ensure they run smoothly and avoid breakdown.

Isn't your brain, the engine driving your success, worth the same care?

Skepticism is a healthy trait in the business world—it shields us from error and loss. Yet, it can also blind us to unconventional methods that break the mold but break through our performance ceilings.

The high-profile entrepreneurs who have publicly endorsed meditation aren't just outliers; they're harbingers of an evolving mindset where strategic inactivity can lead to dynamic activity.

I don't recommend you start meditating for 2 hours a day. I've made that choice because I feel the benefits outweigh the time investment for me.

Meditation, like any investment, is about incremental gains.

You don't start by pouring your life savings into uncharted markets; you research, you dip your toes in, and you scale accordingly.

In truth, the benefits of meditation can be harnessed in just a few minutes daily.

Studies have shown that even 10 minutes of meditation can have significant positive effects on your brain's ability to concentrate and remain calm.

However, most people find that 20 minutes a day is the minimum effect dose for significant meditation benefits.

It's about consistent, quality engagement, not diving into the deep end without a life vest.

For me, the 2 hours of day of vipassana is achieved by 1 hour first thing in the morning to set a calm, focused tone, and an before I go to sleep hour in the evening to decompress. It's like bracketing your chaotic day with oases of peace.

Ultimately, this isn't about taking time away from your work. It's about enhancing every other hour of your day.

With meditation, you're not stepping out of the race; you're taking a pit stop to fine-tune your engine to outpace the rest. It's the sharpening of the saw before the cut, the planning before the execution.

In the grand scheme, it's not time lost—it's quality and longevity gained.

Myth 2: You'll Get Immediate Results

You might be tempted to think of meditation as a quick fix, a sort of mental espresso shot for instant clarity and focus. You will feel more relaxed and focused after 1 meditation session, however, like any worthwhile skill, meditation requires patience and consistent practice.

You wouldn't expect to hit the gym once and wake up with well-defined muscles the next day, would you?

Similarly, the benefits of meditation—such as increased focus, reduced stress, and enhanced creativity—develop over time.

You cultivate them session by session.

Myth 3: Meditation is About Emptying Your Mind

The idea that you must completely empty your mind to successfully meditate is a common misconception that might have deterred you from the practice.

You might think, "My mind is always racing—I can't possibly clear it."

The truth is, meditation isn't about silencing your thoughts; it's about becoming an observer of them. It's normal for your mind to wander.

The practice is in bringing your attention back to your point of focus, whether that's your breath, a mantra, or a guided visualization.

After consistent daily meditations, you will notice your mind slow down and have less mental chatter. When this happens, you'll experience more peace and flow in your life.

Myth 4: Meditation is Religious or Spiritual

Perhaps you've steered clear of meditation because you believe it's tied to religious or spiritual practice.

While it's true that meditation has spiritual roots, the practice itself is secular and can be practiced by anyone, regardless of their beliefs.

Think of it as mental training—a workout for your brain that enhances your cognitive abilities and strengthens your emotional resilience.

If you are interested in the spiritual side of meditation, practice Vipassana for 2 hours a day or loving kindness meditation for 1 hour a day, to get a sense of what's on the other side.

Myth 5: If You Can't Sit Still, You Can't Meditate

You may be under the impression that meditation is not for you because you're the type who can't sit still. It's a common belief that to meditate properly, you must sit cross-legged on the floor for long periods.

However, meditation is a flexible practice that accommodates all body types and preferences. You can meditate while walking, standing, or even lying down.

My personal favorite is to meditate in a float tank. I find I can go way deeper into meditative states and have experienced spiritual states of unconditional love because there are less distractions.

The key is mindfulness—the state of active, open attention to the present—which can be practiced in any position that you find comfortable.

By understanding what meditation truly entails, you can incorporate it into your life in a way that suits you best. It's not a one-size-fits-all solution, but a personal journey of discovery.

As you align your perceptions with the realities of meditation, you'll find that it can be a powerful ally in your quest for peak performance and well-being.

The 8 Different Types of Meditation For Entrepreneurs Explained

As an entrepreneur, you're used to trying different strategies to find the best fit for your business. Similarly, finding the right meditation technique is a personal journey, and exploring your options is key to discovering what resonates with you.

Below are different meditation practices and their unique benefits, which might align with your entrepreneurial spirit.

1. Mindfulness Meditation

This is the practice of sitting and observing your thoughts pass by without engaging with them. It's often described as watching your thoughts pass by like clouds.

As entrepreneurs, you're often juggling multiple tasks and planning for the future. Mindfulness can help you ground yourself in the present, enhancing focus and reducing the tendency to react impulsively to stressful situations.

Benefits for Entrepreneurs:

  • Increased focus and concentration

  • Improved decision-making abilities

  • Greater emotional resilience

2. Transcendental Meditation

Transcendental Meditation (TM) is Ray Dalio's go to technique. It involves silently repeating a mantra for 20 minutes twice a day. It's a form of meditation that requires training by certified teachers but is known for its simplicity and depth of rest.

I recommend this type of meditation if you struggle to implement the habit of meditation on your own and prefer to pay for hands on guidance.

Benefits for Entrepreneurs:

  • Stress reduction and relaxation

  • Enhanced creativity and problem-solving skills

  • Potential improvements in health and vitality

  • 2 x 20 minute sessions per day is a small commitment for a big result

3. Guided Visualization

Also known as creative visualization, this technique involves forming mental images of places, situations, or items that you find calming. It can be guided by a recording or a teacher, helping you visualize success or outcomes you're working towards.

Benefits for Entrepreneurs:

  • Clarification of personal and professional goals

  • Strengthened motivation and focus

  • You can consciously and positively change your personality and behavior

Although visualization is a meditative practice, I find it works best when combined with the other meditation practices described here because it's effect is different.

4. Loving-kindness Meditation (Metta)

Metta is the practice of cultivating an attitude of love and kindness towards everything, including your own self, and even your competitors. It can greatly enhance your interpersonal relationships.

Benefits for Entrepreneurs:

  • Increased empathy and understanding

  • Improved networking and relationship-building

  • Enhanced positivity and reduction in negative emotions

5. Body Scan Meditation

This type of meditation involves paying attention to different parts of your body in sequence, typically starting from the feet and moving upwards. It's a way to tune into bodily sensations and release tension you might not even realize you're holding.

Vipassana meditation is an advanced practice of the body scan.

Benefits for Entrepreneurs:

  • Greater bodily awareness and relaxation

  • Reduced physical tension and stress

  • Improved mental clarity through the connection of body and mind

  1. Zen Meditation (Zazen)

Originating from Zen Buddhism, Zazen requires sitting in a comfortable position and letting your thoughts pass without attachment. It's less about the technique and more about the insight that comes from meditation.

Benefits for Entrepreneurs:

  • Deepened self-awareness and intuition

  • A calm and steady mind under pressure

  • Insights into the nature of perception and existence

  1. Heart Coherence Meditation

Heart Coherence Meditation is a focused practice that involves intentional, rhythmic breathing to create a state of physiological coherence.

By aligning breathing patterns with heart rhythms, this meditation aims to optimize the body's systems and establish a coherent state, which is characterized by increased order and harmony in both psychological and physiological processes.

For entrepreneurs, Heart Coherence Meditation offers unique benefits:

  1. Stress Reduction: It significantly lowers stress levels, which is crucial for entrepreneurs who often operate in high-pressure environments. Lower stress translates to clearer decision-making and improved emotional regulation.

  2. Enhanced Concentration: This technique can improve focus and prevent mental fatigue, helping entrepreneurs stay on task and manage the multitude of responsibilities they face each day.

  3. Better Decision-Making: Heart Coherence Meditation can lead to increased emotional stability, which aids in making more calculated and less impulsive business decisions.

  4. Improved Creativity: A coherent state facilitates a free flow of ideas, enhancing creativity which is essential for business innovation and problem-solving.

  5. Increased Energy Levels: Regular practice can contribute to improved overall energy levels, which is beneficial for the long hours and constant demands of entrepreneurship.

  6. Boosted Emotional Intelligence: Entrepreneurs can benefit from enhanced empathy and better interpersonal skills, leading to stronger business relationships.

  7. Resilience: Building resilience through this practice helps entrepreneurs bounce back from setbacks with greater ease, fostering a mindset conducive to long-term success.

Implementing Heart Coherence Meditation into a daily routine can be a strategic advantage for entrepreneurs, promoting a high-performance mindset and a balanced approach to the rigors of business leadership.

8. Focused Attention Meditation

This is the #1 practice I recommend the most to entrepreneurs because it supercharges your FOCUS.

It involves concentration on a single object, sound, or even your breath. It's about bringing your focus back to your chosen focal point whenever your mind wanders.

Benefits for Entrepreneurs:

  • Improved mental discipline and willpower

  • Heightened clarity and cognitive function

  • Lower levels of stress and anxiety

Why I Changed My Name On A 10 Day Silent Vipassana Meditation Retreat

My original surname name was Mark Hughes. My father was born on an island called St. Kitts (St. Christopher) in the Caribbean. His skin color was black. Meaning our ancestors were from Africa and were taken in the slave trade to St Kitts to work as slaves.

Our name, 'Hughes', is a Welsh name. It was given to our family because the slave owners name was Hughes. The name was given to the slaves to indicate they were that slave owners property.

For this reason, I wasn't attached to my birth name. When my father died of a heart attack in 2007 I vowed to change my surname but I couldn't think of a cool/worthy name.

6 years later, on the 10 silent meditation retreat I found my new name, Dhamma.

It came about because the meditation instructor, SN Goenka kept mentioning the word "Dhamma".

You may be familiar with the word "Dharma".

"Dhamma" and "Dharma" come from ancient Indian languages and essentially convey the same core concept, but they are used in different traditions. "Dharma" is a Sanskrit term used predominantly in Hinduism and also in Buddhism when referring to texts or concepts in a Sanskrit context.

"Dhamma," on the other hand, is the Pali equivalent, more commonly used in Theravada Buddhism, which largely relies on the Pali Canon as its scriptural foundation.

The meaning of Dharma/Dhamma is multifaceted and profound, with no single-word translation in English that fully encapsulates its depth. Here are some of the key aspects of its meaning:

  1. Universal Law or Order: Dharma/Dhamma can refer to the natural order of the universe, the way things are, the law of nature, or the underlying truth that governs the cosmos and life itself.

  2. Righteousness or Virtue: It often denotes proper conduct or behavior according to one's duty or role in life. It is the ethical path and moral virtue that one is expected to follow.

  3. Teachings or Doctrines: In the context of Buddhism, Dharma/Dhamma refers to the teachings of the Buddha—the path to enlightenment and liberation from suffering. It encompasses the Buddha's discourses, the principles he taught, and the practice of his teachings.

  4. Phenomena: In Buddhist philosophy, Dharma/Dhamma also refers to phenomena, or the constituent elements of reality that are subject to the laws of cause and effect.

In essence, it's about aligning one's work and life with a greater sense of purpose and order. That's why I changed my name to "Dhamma".

Conclusion

Embarking on the journey of meditation isn't just about immediate stress relief or a quick boost in focus. The true power lies in its long-term transformative effects. As an entrepreneur, you may be accustomed to seeking rapid results, but the most profound changes often require patience and persistence.

Here's a closer look at the long-term personal and professional transformations you may observe with consistent meditation practice.

Personal Transformation

  1. Increased Self-Awareness: Over time, meditation cultivates a deeper understanding of your thoughts, emotions, and reactions. This heightened self-awareness can lead to better self-regulation and personal growth.

  2. Improved Health: Chronic stress can take a toll on your health. Long-term meditation has been associated with reduced symptoms of stress-related conditions, improved immune response, and better overall health.

  3. Enhanced Well-being: Regular meditators often report greater levels of happiness and well-being. This isn't just subjective; it's supported by studies showing changes in brain regions associated with positive emotions.

  4. Deepened Relationships: As you become more attuned to your own emotions through meditation, you may find improvements in empathy and communication, leading to stronger personal and professional relationships.

Professional Transformation

  1. Leadership Qualities: Meditation can develop qualities such as emotional intelligence, patience, and clarity—key attributes of successful leaders. As these qualities grow, you may find your leadership style evolving in a more impactful and inspiring direction.

  2. Strategic Insight: With a clearer mind, you're better equipped to see the big picture and make strategic, long-term decisions. This can lead to more visionary and effective business planning.

  3. Innovation and Creativity: A calm mind is often a more creative mind. As meditation becomes a staple in your life, you may find yourself generating ideas and solutions that are both novel and practical.

  4. Resilience in the Face of Adversity: The entrepreneurial path is fraught with challenges. A consistent meditation practice builds mental resilience, enabling you to navigate obstacles with equanimity and perseverance.

  5. Sustainability of Performance: By preventing burnout and fostering a balanced approach to work, meditation can help sustain high performance over the long term, avoiding the pitfalls of short-term success at the expense of long-term health.

Integrating the Personal and Professional

The division between personal and professional life is often an artificial one, especially for entrepreneurs. The self-awareness and inner balance gained from meditation can help you navigate this integration with grace and authenticity.

Your business is a reflection of you, and as you transform, your business is likely to mirror these changes, leading to a more conscious, values-driven approach to your work.

In embracing meditation, you're investing in yourself, not just for the immediate benefits, but for a lifetime of subtle and substantial shifts. The compounding effect of these changes can set the stage for a fulfilling, balanced, and successful life and career.

So, I challenge you to experiment.

Test the meditation waters as you would a new market strategy. Monitor the results, adjust your approach, and watch as the compound interest of a clearer mind and a more resilient outlook pays dividends in every aspect of your life and work.
